Urged by God’s calling through the Scripture in Isaiah 61:1 “to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, and to proclaim freedom to the captives,” Lahmei Vak Ministry (LVM) stands to bring a light to the poor and the brokenhearted. LVM supports those struggling to meet livelihood needs (Internally Displaced Persons, Orphans) and those in need of spiritual support (counselling, devotionals, Bible College scholarship). We strive to empower those who feel lost spiritually and those deprived of resource to meet basic livelihood needs so they will find hope again and thrive.
Our organization is modelled on the sacrificial love of Christ and built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and accountability. We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, and we are committed to using our resources in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Our team is made up of dedicated professionals and volunteers who are passionate about making a positive difference in our communities. We work tirelessly to ensure that our programs and services are meeting the needs of those we serve.

Isaiah 61:1
Lahmei Vak Ministry officially began on February 15, 2024 and it stands to bring a light to people’s lives. Lahmei Vak Ministry serves to lighten the hard life journey of the poor and the brokenhearted, of those struggling to meet livelihood needs, such as internally displaced persons, orphans, and those in need of spiritual support through means such as counselling, devotionals, Bible college scholarship. Lahmei Vak Ministry grew out of Lahmei Vak, which was inspired by the Scripture Psalms 119:105 and born as a family media ministry during the covid pandemic in 2020. Lahmei Vak produced videos of children Bible stories, biblical terms and expository lectures through its Youtube channel (and will continue to produce as we are able and as we see needed). Now Lahmei Vak expands to Lahmei Vak Ministry to reach and serve more people and more directly. Currently, LVM is based in Chicago, USA, and focuses its ministry work primarily in Lamka area, Manipur, India.
To approach to addressing the needs of individuals and communities that encompasses their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Rather than focusing solely on one aspect, such as providing material aid or spiritual guidance, holistic ministry seeks to address the whole person or community, recognizing the interconnectedness of various needs and seeking to meet them in an integrated manner. This approach often involves a combination of practical assistance, counseling, community building, and spiritual support to foster holistic growth and transformation.
Through listening and conversations with those who hunger to learn more about God and grow spiritually, we share Bible teachings and offer presence and a companionship to walk with them in their spiritual journey. LVM values and responds to both the spiritual and physical needs of a person.
